What is a Shamrock Shake?
The McDonald's Shamrock Shake is a piece of history, a favorite part of many
childhoods, and for most of us is
now a thing of the past. If you are unfamiliar
with the Shamrock Shake, you are missing out. Until the
late 1990’s the wonderful tasting minty Shamrock Shake was available at most
McDonald's restaurants during the month of March to commemorate St. Patrick’s Day. However, McDonald's has
since dropped the Shamrock Shake as an official flavor, except in Ireland. There are still
a few franchise owners who elect to offer the Shamrock Shake, but the majority do not.
We Need Your Help to Save the Shamrock Shake
Through this site, we will together help McDonald's franchise owners all over the world realize
how many Shamrock Shake lovers exist, and how much we all want to enjoy this treat every March. Our goal
is to generate enough interest and noise that the Shamrock Shake will be available at almost every McDonald's
in the U.S. leading up to St. Patrick's Day in March 2009.
